You’re Not the Only One Feeling This
Being a teen today comes with a lot of pressure... academically, socially, and emotionally. Sometimes it can feel like you’re being pulled in a hundred different directions at once.
Stress doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It means a lot is being asked of you.

Academic Pressure
School can feel overwhelming, especially when expectations are high.
You might feel pressure to:
Get good grades
Stay on top of assignments
Meet family or personal expectations
Plan for your future
Over time, this pressure can lead to:
Anxiety before tests or presentations
Burnout or lack of motivation
Feeling like nothing you do is “good enough”
Reminder: Your worth is not based on your grades!
Social Pressure & Fitting In
It’s normal to want to belong... but sometimes that pressure can feel exhausting.
You might catch yourself:
Comparing your life to others (especially on social media)
Feeling like you have to act a certain way to fit in
Dealing with FOMO (fear of missing out)
Worrying about what others think of you
What you see online or around you is often a highlight, not the full story.

Friend Drama & Boundaries
Friendships can be a huge source of support... but also stress at times.
Common challenges:
Miscommunication or misunderstandings
Feeling left out
Gossip or trust issues
Pressure to choose sides
Not everyone handles conflict the same way.
Some people:
Avoid it
React quickly and emotionally
Shut down
Learning healthy ways to respond matters.
Healthy skills to practice:
Communicating how you feel clearly
Listening without immediately reacting
Taking space when needed
Setting boundaries
When to Walk Away
Sometimes the healthiest choice is distance.
It may be time to step back if:
You feel drained more than supported
Your boundaries aren’t respected
There’s constant negativity or conflict
You don’t feel safe being yourself
Walking away doesn’t make you a bad friend. It means you’re protecting your peace.
